FIRST AID TRAINING ROCKETS FOR LOCAL COMPANY SIRIUS
Local company, Sirius Business Services Ltd (Sirius), has recently added Paediatric First Aid, Sports Medicine and use of Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) courses to its portfolio of First Aid and Health & Safety Training after the success of its existing First Aid courses. Sirius, which is a Medic First Aid approved training centre, already offers First Aid at Work (4 Day course) and First Aid for Appointed Persons (1 Day Course) at its Weymouth Lynch Lane, training base. The company aims to provide a full solution and is also able to supply First Aid kits and help with the procurement of specialist equipment such as defibrillators. Managing Director, Gary Hepburn said “ We know how important First Aid training is to businesses, schools, nurseries, gym’s, sports facilities and many voluntary organisations, which is why we have extended our range of courses to ensure we have the appropriate course for everyone’s needs. We programme regular courses at our offices in Lynch Lane, Weymouth or can run courses on clients’ premises, if required. Our courses are up-to-date, use modern methods of delivery and are cost-effective. We are particularly keen to work with schools and nurseries to ensure all their staff are appropriately trained. We would also like to encourage larger businesses, those where the risk is higher or those where ambulance response times may be longer, to consider having a defibrillator on site. This can save vital minutes and increase survival rates when a sudden cardiac emergency occurs, as every minute counts – literally!”.
